It is hard to believe that my little princess is growing so quickly! Why does time fly by so fast when they are so little! Some days you want them grown and others you hope they would stay babies forever! Well, that is not going to happen so let me tell you all about her and what she is up to right now in her life!
At her 9 month check up she weighed in at 18lbs 7oz and her length is 271/2 inches long. This puts her in the 50th percentile for both! It is amazing how differently our children our in their stats! Henley is blowing Christian away with the weight issue...not so sure if that is a good thing!? Henley loves to eat and just about will ingest anything she can get her hands on! We have started real food with her because she has become so uninterested in baby food! Some of her favorite things to eat are Mac n Cheese, Stove Top Stuffing and Little Blueberry muffins. She also likes any kind fruit you can imagine from peaches to watermelon! She is great with a sippy cup and realizes what it is for. I am pretty sure she will have it mastered soon! I still nurse her and have been trying to completely wean her, but it has not been that easy! I think I am a walking pacifier for her at this point in time! I have tried to get her on a paci, but it is not happening!
Sleeping through the night is not something that she wants to start doing anytime soon! Henley will sleep 7-8 hours, but wakes up quite often in the middle of the night! There has been a month of re-occurring ear infections so her sleep has been effected on top of it! The doctor also told me that at the 9 month mark that many children start with sleep issues because anxiety creeps ups in them and they start to dream too! The combination of all these things makes for a baby who refuses to sleep well! What kind of drugs are there out there to make your babies sleep?! I need some of it for her and me!!!
Henley is crawling and started doing so before she turned 9 months old! I was wondering and waiting and it finally happened! Her world has opened up to her, but she honestly does not care to get into to many mischievous things! The dog bowls are her main fascination and seems to want to swim and splash in them constantly! Oh yeah and did I mention she likes to eat their food too? I am happy that she seems to be a little more reserved and calm than her brother and is very content sitting and playing with her toys! Speaking of brothers the two of them are so cute playing, but do not get me wrong they fight too! I already can hear the two of them...mommy she/he is touching me! Sometimes they look at each other and one of them just gets mad and starts screaming! Oh the joy of sibling love!

The last and final thing about our sweet angel is that she has spoken her first word...mama! I know she knows that is associated with me because she will sometimes reach for me and say mama! It of course melts my heart and I sweep her up and kiss her all over! It is funny because Christian will say, " I say mommy and Henley says mama!" He tells her to stop talking! The interaction between the two of them is so cute and sweet! My favorite thing is to catch them when they do not realize they are being watched! There is so much love between them and I can not wait to see how they are as they continue to get older! We feel so blessed to have such sweet, loving, happy and healthy children!
