This Easter was a lot of fun with Christian. Even though I have been sick almost this entire pregnancy with some ailment from morning sickness to chronic sinus infections...we try to make the most of it. My Aunt Punkin and my sister came in for the Easter holiday so of course I had much help with Christian. There has been this great dinosaur exhibit at the McWane Center here in Birmingham, which is a science museum for children and the young at heart. I thought it would be fun to take Christian and let him see them. Well, if any of you live in Birmingham and have ever been to the McWane Center you know that there is an area set up for young children to play. This area is great and has everything you could imagine for a little one to play with and get into. Christian's favorite is the water fountain. This is an area set up for the children to play in running water. They wear little aprons so they do not get to wet, but if you have a child who LOVES water...they are going to find a way to get wet!!!! Remember to always bring a change of clothes!!! I forgot! Christian played and splashed and even tried sticking his head under the running water to take a sip! He had a ball and would have stayed there all day if mommy would have permitted! Once I dragged him away from the water he got to pet a real bunny rabbit. He of course called the bunny...JETTA! Jetta is our black lab and the name of every animal he lays eyes on except the geese! This rabbit had a special name and was literally the softest animal I have ever felt! Christian was fascinated, but we had to move on if we ever wanted to see the dinosaurs. Well, after the slides and the balls and the cars and the fish we never made it to the dinosaurs. Oh well, I think I wanted to see them more than he did. Christian had a blast and took a great nap that afternoon.
